MCCY was co-founded in 2011 by Michele Wink and Cyrus Behroozi, and is run by Executive Director, Michele Wink. Wink has a long history of providing victim services and advocacy at both a community and statewide level. For nearly a decade, Wink worked at the Task Force on Family Violence of Milwaukee as the Director of Education. Wink also worked on a statewide level as the Director of Victim Services with the Department of Justice. Wink now brings her expertise and commitment to families to MCCY, designed specifically to address gaps in services for abused children and youth in Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Center for Children and Youth, Inc. (MCCY) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
MCCY is comprised of a myriad of programming, designed to address gaps in services and provide programs to the underserved and impoverished populations in Milwaukee. MCCY offers advocacy services, supportive and educational groups, creative and art-based groups, life skills-focused groups, and others throughout the year. MCCY is staffed by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to alleviating the suffering of children, youth, and families living in poverty. Staff members work to empower and support individuals, working to build resilience, provide individuals with resources, and help individuals to develop and enhance necessary skills.
